This Saturday (2/19) I'll be DJing a guest set with the dudes from Coup de Grâce at Exchange in Downtown Los Angeles. It'll be my first time playing there and I've heard nothing but amazing things about the venue.

Coup de Grâce is a DJ collective consisting of DJ Innovate, DJ Doh Doh, and DJ Loquito. These guys are doing big things in the LA club circuit and I'm honored to have a chance to spin along side with them this coming Saturday! Check them out on their Facebook Fan Page, here.

DJ Melo D on the MikiDz Show

Last Monday I had the privilege of stopping by the DJ City Studios in Los Angeles to witness the MikiDz show live. It was the final show of their second season and they brought out a DJ that I've admired and respected since I started DJing over 10 years ago.

DJ Melo D of the Beat Junkies crew threw down for an hour and a half mixing house, old school electro (from the 80's), old-school hip-hop, breaks, and funk. The set was amazing and watching him do everything live made it that much better. I shot some footage of Melo D in action off my camera, forgive the grainy resolution.

New City, New Studio setup

What's up everyone! Well, I did it, I made the move down to sunny Los Angeles in search of more DJ opportunity. This has been on my mind for the past year or so now and over the past few months I finally set everything in motion to make the move complete! Couple of pros in LA that I could never get in SF:

- The sun seems to always be out
- Parking meters still get you 15 minutes for .25 cents (in SF, you're lucky if you can get 8 minutes on a quarter
- Gas is cheaper

I've only been down here for 3 days so I'm sure there's a multitude of other pros.

One thing I can not get used to (and probably will never get used to) is how aggressive the drivers are down here. I feel like going the speed limit just doesn't cut it...

Anyway, with the move I was able to setup my "studio" in a more production style configuration, so be on the lookout for some exclusive J-Trix Edits and remixes coming soon!

So I have some good news and bad news. Bad news first, this will be my last Sunday Sessions mix. The reason I will not be releasing a "Sunday Sessions" mix is because every Sunday, starting August 29th, I will be posting my set from KYLD WiLD 94.9's mixshow, the Saturday Night Street Party. That's right, you can now catch me on San Francisco's #1 rated mixshow every Saturday night from 11pm-12am (and then re-aired from 3am-4am Sunday morning). You can stream the show online at www.wild949.com if you're not from the San Francisco/Bay Area.

So here's my last Sunday Sessions mix, but stay tuned for a new online mix show that I will be launching very shortly!

Wild 94.9's Girls Night Out

So I had the honor and the privilege to DJ at WiLD 94.9's Girl's Night Out event alongside WiLD 94.9 DJ's, Jose Melendez and J.Espinosa. It was a packed house of 2000+ beautiful ladies (hence the title of the event). There were live performances by The-Dream, Baby Bash, Bobby Brackins, Chiddy Bang, and Kardinal Offishall. It was a great night and I had a blast! I also received a lot of compliments from the WiLd 94.9 Management and Staff. Since I've only been on air for several weeks now, I still haven't met everyone at the station, but I feel like last night, I really got a chance to put myself in the spotlight (literally at some points)

Whew, it's been a busy past few weeks..

Haven't had the chance to update in a while, been really busy with my gig/work schedule. Let's just say, that certain things have started to fall into place that are going to affect my life in a major way for the next few years. I'm excited/scared at the same time but either way, I'm looking forward to everything that's going to be happening in the next few months.

Just a recap of Memorial Day Weekend, to make a long story short, it was a crazy weekend of gigs from Thursday-Sunday which ended in me getting sick. Still recovering but I'm almost at 100%.

So Thursday night, I did NOT end up DJing at the APAHM Verizon Concert. All the acts were singing ballads/slow songs, so the event coordinators felt that having a DJ play Top 40/Hip-Hop during the intermissions would alter the vibe of the concert. I DID however DJ the afterparty which was a good turnout for a Thursday night in the city. International acts, JJ Lin and Evonne Hsu stopped by as well as world famous DJ Mike Relm. All very nice people.

Friday night I DJed at a private event at Club NV in the city. For an 18+ private event the club was PACKED. Keep in mind that Club NV is one of the biggest capacity clubs in the city and the main room was jam packed. I actually took only one picture this entire weekend of the crowd at NV, so you can see for yourself:

Saturday was another private 18+ event at Kelly's Mission Rock. I hadn't DJed an event there in over 3 years, so it was kind of interesting to be back there to see what renovations they went through. Before when I used to DJ there, a guy would setup the sound and lighting before every event, now it's all installed which I thought was kind of cool.

Sunday was my DJ debut at the hottest new venue in San Francisco, Manor West. Me and fellow DJ Clinton Lee did an audio/visual DJ 2x4 DJ set. The place was packed and DJ Clinton Lee and I tore the house down, at least from what I remember...

So that was my Memorial Day weekend in a nutshell. For a more recent update, I DJed at Cosmos last night in San Francisco. Great vibe + great crowd + me staying sober = a very fun and memorable night!

My reasoning for having a laptop as my personal/production computer is because it's easy to transport if I need to use it on the go. Haven't updated in a while. Since the last update about the passing of the great DJ AM, another legendary DJ passed away, Grandmaster Roc Raida. Shit, the first time I saw Roc Raida do a performance was the SHURE Turntablism 101 VHS tape that I bought from Turntable Lab. I literally watched the Rock The Bells routine he did over and over again thinking "this is some amazing shit". My mom thought I was trippin because I was watching the same shit over and over again. Not know anything about DJing, she went on to say "I think you could make a better teaching video than this", then I remember getting pissed because I knew I'd never be able to do what Roc Raida did best. So RIP Roc Raida, again another DJ that I never had the chance to watch perform live.

Anyway, I made some new mixes for all ya'll to DL. One is a mix that's strait current Pop/Top40 shit. Another was a throwback/jiggy/new jack mix I made live for my friend's birthday. He's into all that shit but everyone else at the party was not. He had to sit by the stereo because people kept trying change it to a different mix, which at that time he'd bark at them like he was a guard dog at a towed car lot. Anyway, there's no drops on these mixes but I see anyone using them and trying to claim them for themselves, I'll be pissed...

Actually, fuck that, I'm dropping at least one "DJ J-Trix" drop on these mixes...

Friday, August 28th, 2009, the DJ community lost one of it's own. DJ AM, one of the most recognized DJs in North America was found dead in New York City. I never got the opportunity to see DJ AM perform live (and when I say perform, I mean it since he really put on a show during his sets) and I think it's something that I'll always regret.

I feel like AM was a huge inspiration to all djs across the world. He was the guy that really put DJing into the entertainment/media spotlight. I think he definitely changed the DJ industry whether for better, or for worse.

There's not much more I can say about AM since I never had the fortunate chance to meet him, but I can definitely say that he was a true inspiration and model for my DJ goals and aspirations.

R.I.P. DJ AM, we'll forever keep the records spinning in your memory...

Just came back (well, not back really because I'm in San Diego right now) from Scottsdale, AZ after a week long work conference. Scottsdale is a nice place, if you like walking around in 106 degree temperature everyday. On Thursday there was a hot breeze that made it seem like a huge blow dryer was hitting me all over, I'm not really down with that.

Didn't really do much besides stay at the hotel and go shopping. This one bar I went to after dinner one night had .25 cent beers, yup, .25 cents. Needless to say, drinks were on me ($2 worth of drinks at least)

I also hit up this dope boutique clothing shop called King and Duck and picked up some nice t-shirts and a pair of shoes that were on sale. Check em out in the pics.

Definitely going on a diet when I get back to SF...been eating too much crap food on this trip.

So this is probably what was going on through the producers/directors heads when they were conceiving a sequel to the already bad, (but not craptacular) Aliens vs. Predator:

"Let's take all the best elements of all the movies from both the Alien and Predator franchises, hire some crappy no-name actors, give people what (we assume) they've wanted to see from these historic movie creatures for some time now, appeal to teenagers who probably weren't even alive when the original films came out by casting young actors to make it seem like a teen horror movie, and then film it in a setting that's so dark and hard to see, that no one will be able to realize what a terrible movie we've made..."

Mission accomplished...

This movie was really, really, really bad. I'm surprised it wasn't a straight to DVD release. The only thing that kept me watching it to the end was that I wanted to see the "twist" at the end...and honestly, I couldn't even hear what the lady said at the end that I'm sure was pretty pertinent, oh and also, the blond chick that got impaled by the Predator ninja star was pretty hot...

And also, WTF were you thinking Sean from Rescue Me?!? You are one of the funniest characters in Rescue Me, why would you reduce your image by settling for this pile of shit movie?!?

So yeah, I'm sure, Ridley Scott, James Cameron, David Fincher, that french guy that directed Alien Resurrection, John McTiernan, whoever directed Predator 2, and Paul W.S. Anderson would all be rolling in their grave after they saw this (that is, if any of the aformentioned directors were dead, which none of them are).

Now I just can't wait to see what they make of A.V.P. 3 which I heard is in the works...

Nice, just put my Twitter stream in the column to the right ---->. Now you can be updated with what I'm doing every single time I decide to post something that I think is interesting.

So I've been a bit MIA these past few weeks. Reason being...I got a 8-5 J.O.B. For a while, I was calling it a "real" job, but believe me, there's a lot of hustle that you have to put into DJing, it's not just spinning at clubs on weeknights and that's it. If you really want to be good at your craft, then you have to put in the work during the day too...

This is an idea that I was always conflicted about throughout my life. One hand, yeah, I can do something I love 24/7, but on the other hand, I realized that I would have to make some major changes in my life in order to achieve those goals. Plus, I thought I'd give the 8-5 a shot, and see if it's something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life, also to answer the questions I had about what direction I wanted to go in.

Now by no means does this mean that I'm quitting DJing, but I'm definitely not going to be putting the work into it that I used to be able to. In a sense, I would just say my DJ "career" is on hold for the moment. But yeah, stay tuned for a new mix that I'll be posting soon.

Thank God for Turntables

I was trying to mix the other day on internal mode with no turntables. It's pretty hard to have to change the pitch internally in your computer. It makes me appreciate turntables (and CDJs) that much more, unless the turntables weren't properly maintained and the signal to your computer is jacked up.

Funny story at the club I DJed at yesterday. The club is pretty old and they haven't invested in new DJ equipment for at least 20 years, so knowing this, I decided to bring out my own turntables and mixer at no extra charge to the promoters, it was just so I would be more comfortable with mixing. Anyway, I arrived at the club at 9:30, to notice that the opening DJ (there were 4 DJs for the night mind you) was already there and he had HIS stuff set up. Then the closing DJ came through and had HIS stuff that he wanted to set up.

Is this a new trend with DJs? Bringing their own equipment to clubs? In a way, I think it's cool because it shows that DJs want to sound their best and if that means they have to go the extra mile to bring their own equipment then I respect them that much more. On the other hand, it would be nice if clubs carried all sorts of mixers and when you go to play at them you just tell the club, "Please hook up the TTM-57SL for me tonight, thanks"...

but one can only wish...

I received a very belated xmas gift from an aunt the other day. It was a nice little ipod nano. Unfortunately, I own a 30 gig Ipod which I use regularly and still love so I decided to return the nano for store credit and buy something I've needed for a long time...the wireless Apple Mighty Mouse.

It's COMPLETELY overpriced for a bluetooth mouse, but it's just so cool looking. I read a lot of bad reviews on it but I figured since I had some Apple credit and I am not planning on buying a new computer anytime soon, I mightaswell pick one of these bad boys up. My favorite feature is definitely the trackball (which subsequently is the first thing to go bad according to reviews). Hopefully I don't have any major problems with it.

Oh, and I was only using it for 10 minutes and for some reason the computer wasn't recognizing it so I had to reconnect it, let's hope it doesnt' happen too frequently.

My homie Derek came by the other day after we had lunch and we had a little spin session/talked about our views on the whole San Francisco nightlife industry, but that's not the highlight of this post.

First off, yes, I do live at home still. Most Asian Americans that were born and raised in San Francisco and are still currently residing in San Francisco still live at home, it's a known fact. Actually, most Asian Americans in the Bay Area still live at home with their parents/families. Believe me, ask any Asian American you know where they live, I'll bet you at LEAST 7 out of 10 of them will tell you they still live at home. Of course that is if they're still residing in the city that they were born and raised. Now, before I move onto the topic of the post, I want to explain that it's not because we're sheltered and we are too scared to live on our own, but if you know about the Asian culture, you'll know that we're a very family based culture. I don't want to get into major detail, but in a nutshell, your parents take care of you when you're younger, and as you get older, and your parents get older and need someone to take care of them, you pay it back to them. Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that if you're Asian you live with your parents your entire life, but it can KIND OF sum up why we still live at home for so long. Oh, also Asians like to save money on rent...kind of important too...

So anyway, my turntables are set up in my room and when Derek came in, the FIRST thing he noticed was this:

Yes, this is my bed, needless to say Derek was laughing his ass off, and I was just standing there with the "doesn't everybody make their bed?" look on my face. This is my every morning routine, I wake up, make my bed exactly like how you see it in the picture everyday, and then go about my day. Everything on the bed has some sort of significance to me, if you ask me, I'd be welcome to give you background on everything on there, yes even the stuffed animals.

Am I the only guy that makes their bed like this every morning? Does this border OCD that I have to make sure that every little thing is in it's correct place? Be mindful that not everything in my room is organized like this, just my bed...

And that was my post for the day...okay, maybe I just wanted an excuse to post a picture that I took with my new camera...

I'm back! I just realized that my last post was waaaay back in October of 2008. Where the hell have I been you might ask? Well, 2008 was a very monumental year for me. After 8 (loooong) years, I closed a chapter in my life that many people can't say they've accomplished (some not wanting to for that matter, and I don't blame them). Yep that's right, you're looking at a college graduate from San Francisco State University. Sure it took me 8 years, and sure I got my degree in something that doesn't appeal to many companies, sure I've had trouble finding a job because I'm a 27 year-old fresh college graduate...but dammit, I finished!

It's a nice feeling honestly. If anyone ever stopped going to college for whatever reason and has even the slightest urge to go back, all I can tell you is this...just fuckin DO IT. You might have to make some sacrifices along the way but in the end, it's very rewarding, and if not so much more financially, it definitely is personally.

Now, what does the future hold you might ask. Like everyone that just finishes something that took up so much of their life, I would say that mine is definitely at a crossroads. Not really sure what path I want to head down right now, but I do know that I want to do something that gives me medical benefits. Have you guys ever wondered how much getting a checkup and two shots cost? I believe my bill was almost $200 dollars, and I was literally in the doctor's office for less than 30 minutes. If health care keeps up like this, I would probably have to raise my DJ rates to $400 bucks an hour, just so I know that if I ever get in a car accident on the way home from a club, I'll be covered...

With a new year also comes a new mix! For the past 4 months, my protools has been fucked up. There was something wrong with my OS and Pro Tools, so instead of finding a solution through numerous forum postings and blogs, I just spent a little extra money and upgrade my OS. Then presto! Pro Tools is up and running again!

This mix is a simple mix, no real crazy production added or anything. It's an eclectic blend of House, Electro, Pop, and some Rock/Hipster shit scattered here and there. It's a good workout mix if you're looking to listen to something while trying to shed those pounds on the treadmill. Again, no super production went into this mix, so DJs, if you're listening to this, I already know that it's simple and straitforward, no need to remind me...

The Bug...

Flyer for the club in LA I worked at (FYI, I'm none of those people pictured on the flyer, but you already knew that)

So I went down to LA this past weekend (Los Angeles for all the international people that read my blog) and every time I take a trip down to southern California I get what some people refer to as, "the bug". Now, if you ever had it, you know what I'm talking about, but if you haven't gotten it, then let me explain what it is...

"The bug" is short for "the acting bug". It's that feeling people get when they want to become famous actors/actresses and really want to soak up that Hollywood lifestyle of sex, drugs, money, and more sex. I shortened it to "the bug" because I think it pretains to not just actors, but all entertainers in general, and believe me, if you want to be a somebody in the entertainment industry, then you gotta be in LA.

So yes, with that being said, I got "the bug" during this past weekend. In my case though, it's more of a DJing bug wanting to be that superstar DJ that DJs at all the hot spots in the country, and even...the world! or maybe even...the UNIVERSE! (Side note: wouldn't that be the ultimate gig, to DJ the opening of a colonized hotel on Mars or the Moon? You can put on your resume that you DJ universally.)

But, I digress... I was talking to Travis the other day and he said that I need to start working harder, and put at least 1 hour a week into my craft to put myself out there more. I told him, that I need some sort of representation, like a manager or an agent, and then from there, they can just whore me out to the masses.

I don't know about what you all think, but honestly, I think I'm a pretty talented DJ, and that I could be on the same playing fields as some top-tier DJs. I just think I'm in the wrong area for people to see that...

Ahh, another pointless blog post. I haven't posted anything for a while, but then I thought to myself, "I'm doing absolutely NOTHING this first half of Summer". So why not update the millions and millions of people that read my blog with what's been going on with my life...

Well, first of all, I just got this in the mail today:

Awww yeaaah...Guitar Hero: On Tour for my Nintendo DS Lite. Let me just say that after no more than 10 minutes of playing, my hand cramped up and my eyes started to get tired. Maybe I'm getting old but shit, I used to be able to play video games for hours and hours on end...what happened? I got GTA: 4 a couple months ago too, and with the previous GTA games, I would play that shit non-stop...now...I can't play for more than 30 minutes without getting bored. Am I getting too old for video games? Are there more important and interesting things that I'd rather be doing in life? Like "What is the meaning of Life?", these questions may go unanswered for centuries to come...

I've also been playing a lot more golf lately, me and Thomas got our residence cards at City Hall. These cards allow us to play at courses in SF at a discounted price. Subsequently, the same day we went to get out residence cards at City Hall, it was also the 2nd day that Gay couples were allowed to legally tie-the-knot. I'm sure when me and Thomas were walking up the stairs to City Hall people were looking at us thinking "Aww, look at that cute young Asian couple rushing into City Hall to get married".

I also decided to wear actual golf clothes since I hadn't been to the actual course in years...

Gyeaaahhh....the star power is going to my head once again. This Wednesday was another night out about the town. This time, the location was Boss Nightclub. DJ Cumlowde (AKA DJ TRAVIS, for all the people that don't want to but "Cumload" on their flyers) was on the decks closing for DJ Zhaldee. The Golden State Warrrrrioorrrsss were in the building coming off of a huge win against the Phoenix Suns. Baron Davis, Al Harrington, Azabuke were in the house...and a special appearance by a Bay Area legend which if you look at my pictures was in the house too. Party was off the hook, we were actin the fool...I'll let the pictures (and my comments) do the talking.

It's official. After 4 long years, I'm finally off of Academic Probation at SFSU. I'm pretty proud of myself being that people that are on probation for so long usually get kicked out or just give up and drop out, but not me, I persevered through the tests of time.

I got really good grades this semester, 2 A's, and a B-, oh and a WU which doesn't really count because I stopped going to that class after Thanksgiving break, but yeah anyway, you really feel good about yourself when you get good grades.

Another good thing about getting good grades is that you're not ashamed to ask other people what they got. When I was getting F's and D's, or withdrawing from all my classes, I would HATE it when people asked me how I did...now, I'm that asshole that asks stupid people how they did, only to rub it in their face with my good grades. I'm sure it's slowly sending them into some sort of depression when I do it, but hey...I survived after 3.5 years of people doing that to me, so why not return the favor huh? Okay, that's just mean, but I'm still gonna do it...

These past few days I've also been spending a lot of money...

Two days ago I bought a PS3 and Call Of Duty 4, and just today I went to Nordstroms and bought a new hoodie, some stunna shades, and a new pair of dunks...

I guess when it gets to that time around my birthday (which is now) I always justify buying a lot of stuff for myself by saying, "it's like a birthday present to myself" And then I realize how sad that statement is because it just goes to show that no one buys me presents. Tragic

I'm leaving for Houston in roughly 4 hours...last time I went to Houston in 2005 I did something that I don't normally do. I think that I'm gonna make Texas the place to do things that I don't normally do from now on. So if you read in the paper next week "Stupid naked Chinese guy was arrested for jumping off a 4 story hotel in the swimming wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and boots" in the headlines, then replace stupid naked Chinese guy with Jarrett Chew...

Hopefully, I'll take lots of pictures of me wearing nothing buy a cowboy hat and boots...

Time can mean anything and everything...from someone winning a race a millisecond before second place, to whether or not a doctor can save a life...

I've always valued time, I think I value it as much or even more than money. If you think about it, time can be more valuable than money because if you have no time to spend that money, what good is it?

On the same subject, I think that timing is just as important as time. WHEN things happen can really make a difference in your life, or if those things ever happen at all...

With that being said...I just wanted to say that the timing in my life, has always SUCKED...

You think that things are going great in life, that the time that you are using is something that you'll cherish and remember for the rest of your life...only to find out in the end, it was all a waste...

Why does my timing suck? I don't know, maybe I'm just very unlucky. Maybe GOD just wanted to make my life hard and difficult. I think that there isn't much time for me left in life, and I'm slowly pissing it away every day that passes by...

With all that being said, the one thing about time that I wish I did have...

is just 4 more minutes...

I am tired...

I swear, these long nights of DJing are starting to get to me. Two years ago it used to be easy, fun staying out late, I could stay out till 4-5am with no problems. Now, I feel like it's starting to catch up with me. I always feel tired, but when I do sleep, it's never good sleep.

I envy people that have regular 9-5 jobs. These people go to work all day, but when the day is done, they don't have to worry about bringing their work back home with them, and they can just chill for the rest of the day. With everything going on in my life, I feel like I never have a free moment to spare, and when I do take the time to watch TV or do something recreational, I feel guilty for doing it because I know I can be using that time to do something more productive...

so once again...I am tired...

Wednesdays in the SCO

Ahh yes, Wednesday, normally a day that I reserve for doing nothing, but this Wednesday was packed to the brim, excitement written, crap in your pants, jerk off Spongebob Squarepants fun.

I shall let the pictures do the talking, well, actually I'll be talking after every picture...same shit...

So my evening started with going to a meet and greet with up and coming recording artist Jessi Malay at Impala lounge. Never heard of her? Me neither, but I wanted to go because I heard there was going to be free food and open bar...

I got to Impala a little early so I decided to take some pictures of this beautiful city that I call home...

I parked like 6 blocks away from Impala, and even though I go to that place every Friday night, the walk looked a lot different during the day, so I walked up Vallejo and perched at the top of Vallejo and Montgomery...

This is a view continuing up Vallejo, it looks like the fuckin Hanging Gardens of Babylon, not that I've ever seen the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, but I would think that this is what it looked like.

So after the artsy side of me was done, I decided to head over to Impala to meet this artist. So the email I got said that the thing started at 5pm, so I get there at like 5:10, because I didn't want to look like the first loser there, turns out...I WAS the first loser there. Everyone else, all the other DJs/mixers/on-air personalities didn't come until like 6 or 6:30, so for a good hour I was just chillin and taking advantage of the open bar.

So at 6:30 everyone's there, even The Federation came by because they're on the same record label as this girl. So 7:30 rolls around and this girl Jessi Malay still isn't here (the event is supposedly supposed to end at 8pm). So now people are starting to leave because they figure this was all one big ruse. So I decided to leave too with another one of the mixers, and guess who we see comin down the block as we're leaving...

Ms. Jessi Malay, she's not only hot but super sweet and down to Earth. She was trying to get me and the other dj to stay so we could all drink together, but sadly, we had to be on our way. If you get a chance, check out her single, its called Booty Bangs ft. Yung Joc.

So after that I went back to the radio station to just kill some time before I went over to the Hennessey tasting party at slide. I was taking some action shots in the mix room with J.Espinosa's records...ahaha

So after all that hub-bub I headed over to Slide for the Hennessey tasting party. DJ 5ive from Tao, Las Vegas was spinning, and Chrisette Michelle was performing. If ya'll never heard of her either, wikipedia her, she's on a lot of songs, and has a hot album.

So I was trying to take a crowd shot, but me being the short Asian dude I am, and Marty being the big white guy that he is, I kept getting his head in the picture. So finally I said, aiight, Marty, duck down real quick so I can get this crowd shot, but even when he ducked down and I held my camera as high up as I could, I still got his head in the picture...it looks like someone pushed him and he's slowly falling over.

This is Chris Clouse and DJ Solomon. They perform at Slide every Wednesday, they tout themselves as a "Live Mashup Band". I really didn't understand why they call themselves that, but they're pretty good none the less....

This is Def Jam recording artist Chrisette Michelle. She's been on tracks with Nas and Jay-Z, but she got her own album where she really shines. She's like a more soulful Alicia Keys. There was one point where she called me her boyfriend and pulled me up to dance with her while she sang to me. As Travis said it, I felt like a little pre-teen white girl at a Justin Timberlake concert...

I think its funny when Marty dances, not that he dances funny, just the concept of Marty dancing is funny, so I had to take a picture.

So the the Hennessey tasting party turned into a Hennessey drinking party and by the end of the night I was pretty hammered. I drunk called Travis when I was driving and he gave me like 5 minutes of his time and then said, "Dude, I gotta go to sleep". And then the morning after he was trippin out because he talked to Wesley and Wesley said he had a dream about me getting into a car accident...Not your typical Wednesday night, but man, I would do that every Wednesday if I could...hella fun.

That Damn Green Monster

So I just flew back in from Boston last night. I was going to post about it yesterday but I was too tired and mildly jetlag to start my post. I guess I'll keep the talking short and let the pictures say the rest, bu I was surprised from how nice Boston is. It really is an old city and it has that historical aura when you're walking around. To sum it all up, I wouldn't mind going back to really take in the city.

My flight had a stop in Cleveland, OH so I went to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. I got to stand right up there with the cardboard giraffe, coyote, and kangaroo. Yeah okay, this was just an advertisement in the Cleveland airport...

So the next few pictures are gonna be from when I went to the Red Sox game at Fenway on Friday. Boston is a crazy baseball fan town and they love their Red Sox's, so much, that the scalpers wouldn't sell their tickets for any less than $150 dollars each. So yeah, it was the most expensive baseball game I ever went to but I guess it was worth it.

We had pretty good seats...actually a foul ball landed two seats to my left, but the guy that was standing up sat on it and I really didn't feel like playing "strangers ass to my hand" this weekend.

So the afternoon before I flew back I really wanted to get some famous Boston clam chowder. So we went to Downtown Boston:

Yeah, regular people still dress like they're back in the 1700's, they're pretty hardcore out in Boston.

This is where we ate. Apparently it's the oldest restaurant in America. I believed it, there were some really old people in there...the chowda was the bomb.

So that was my trip to Boston in a nutshell. I wish I could've seen downtown Boston a little more but didn't have enough time. Maybe next time I go out to the East Coast I'll pay it a visit.

Finding Forever...Is taking forever

I got this album in the mail about a month ago, and I never really listened to it fully. Yesterday I was taking like an hour long shit and was listening to it while was on the toilet and realized that its one of the best Hip-Hop albums to come out in a while. At a time when all these Hip-Hop/Rap songs coming out are one-hit wonders, this is no doubt a great well-rounded album. Stuff you probably won't hear me spinning in the club, but shit if you get a chance, DL this album. I especially like the track featuring Lily Allen - Drivin' Me Wild.

So I had another test in class today, the teacher posts online that the test will be administered at the last hour of the four-hour class, so of course, I show up to class 30 mins before he gives the test. Wasn't too confident about this one since I haven't been to class since the last test which was last Thursday, but I'm pretty sure I still pulled off a B.

I've decided that when I graduate from college I'm gonna burn my high school diploma in ode to Homer Simpson in the episode when he went to college...S-M-R-T

This is it..THIS right here is gonna be the new Myspace, Facebook, Xanga, Friendster, Yourspace, Facemag, Foester, Kanga....Everyone's gonna jump on one of these if they haven't already. I had no idea that this shit was linked with Google. Google is taking over the world. I'm just waiting for Google to buy their own nightclub, and then I'm gonna jump on board with that too.

The purpose of this is going to be for me to rant about whats going on in my life, the good, the bad, the extraordinary.

So far, I've been KILLIN it in school right now...not literally. But man, I've been kickin ass in school this Summer, getting A's all across the board. It gets me to realize that maybe school isn't hard at all. I guess all those years that I was fuckin up and getting F's wasn't because school was hard, but because I was a lazy, no-good, procrastinating loser. Now I'm a winner, better late than never.

This is a picture I took with up and coming singer/songwriter Melissa Jimenez a few weeks ago. I met her at a listening session at the Universal Records office. She was pretty good IMO. Keep an eye out for her debut on SRC Records. I was trying to look hardcore in the pic, but then I realized you can't look too hard core when you're 2 inches shorter than the girl...

Back to studying, got another test to KILL tomorrow...not literally.
